A binaural audio forest soundscape: “Fritz in the Forest”

Fritz in Limerick Forest

We took Fritz to Limerick Forest in Oxford Station, Ontario, Canada for an afternoon to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Here’s what he heard in the 15 minutes or so we left him by himself.

This is a true 3D binaural audio forest soundscape, created with the Neumann KU 100 dummy head microphone. Listen with headphones and turn the volume up just until the ambient sound seems natural (note, the gusts of wind did get fairly strong at times that day).
